Samual George Pearse VC. MM. holder was born in Penarth(Wales) UK on the 16th July 1897 and was killed in action at the age of 22years on the 29th August 1919 during the course of his duty in North Russia. Due to his leadership and actions he was awarded the nations highest military award for bravery. We the Welsh Auxiliary Corps(V) of the Legion of Frontiersmen are proud that Sam served as a Frontiersmen before enlisting into the Australian Army in 1915, and for the Honour that he has bestowed upon Wales and his adopted country, and Town of Mildura Victoria State......We salute you.
